Welcome to Ludens Fitness Studio.
Ludens is not your typical gym. It is a living, breathing practice space for the playful human. Inspired by the Latin term "Homo Ludens" meaning "the one who plays," we believe that movement is a fundamental expression of life, and that health, vitality, and strength are best cultivated not through punishment or performance, but through curiosity, exploration, and play.
We are a fitness studio in form—but a movement school in essence.
Ludens was born from the frustration of limitation. Our founder, Aman Arora, spent years exploring different movement disciplines, training under diverse teachers from the Ido Portal Method, CrossFit, dance, martial arts, and somatics. Yet again and again, he found himself constrained by systems that prioritized trends over truth, aesthetics over function, and repetition over evolution. Ludens is his answer to that stagnation: a space where experimentation is welcomed, where the body is respected as an intelligent system, and where physical practice is treated as a lifelong journey—not a short-term grind.
We do not exist to tell you how to look. We exist to ask: How do you want to feel in your body? How do you want to move through your life? How much play are you willing to reclaim?
At Ludens, our classes are designed as experiences. Each class category reflects a different entry point into the world of movement:

MOVE focuses on locomotion, mobility, movement quality and much more.

HIT brings intensity, endurance, and cardiovascular strength.

STRENGTH is bodyweight-based resistance training that builds control.

PLAY is our open gym practice session where members explore, freestyle, and connect.

Private Training offers one-on-one deep dives tailored to your needs.

Semi-Private & Small Group formats bridge the gap between personal attention and shared energy.
We are educators, not instructors. Each coach at Ludens has their own movement background, but shares a common philosophy: we are students first, always. This means we continue to practice what we teach. We continue to study, question, challenge, and grow. You will not find cookie-cutter workouts here. You will not find gimmicks or artificial hype. What you will find is a grounded, thoughtful, and joyful space to train your body, mind, and attention.

Ludens is a studio, yes—but it is also a container. A container for learning. A container for expression. A container for transformation. This is not a one-size-fits-all experience. Your movement practice should reflect your life, your interests, your evolving edges. We do not separate strength from softness, or stillness from intensity. We offer space for all of it.
Our community is intimate. We do not need hundreds of people packed into a space. We thrive on connection. On story. On shared goals and shared effort. This is a space where your coaches will know your name, your background, your sticking points, and your breakthroughs. This is a space where strangers become partners, and partners become friends.
Our goal is simple: to help you become more resilient, more adaptable, more confident—and more alive.
Because fitness isn’t the goal. Fitness is the gateway.
The goal is to feel capable in your body. To feel free in your body. To trust your body. To trust your ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn at any age, at any stage.
